UCLan offers students comfortable accommodation, in safe, fun, and inclusive halls. All accommodation is within walking distance of both the campus and the city centre, and above all, the university provides great value for money, and a guaranteed place in halls for all first-year students.
There are around 1,700 accommodation places in university-owned or leased halls of residence. This includes a wide variety of en-suite and shared bathroom facilities within self-catered halls, with shared kitchen and communal areas. Rooms are furnished and include fuel, water bills and internet access.

Facilities
UCLan has recently completed their £200 million Campus Masterplan at the Preston Campus — a major investment in creating an impressive main campus which will provide all students with an exceptional learning and social experience.
Their state-of-the-art library is open 24 hours a day during term time, and the brand-new £60 million student centre opened in Autumn 2021. Situated at the heart of the campus it provides expert guidance to all students on study support, careers planning, health and wellbeing, financial issues, accommodation, and much more.
Other recent improvements include a £35 million Engineering Innovation Centre, the Oasis Faith and Spirituality Centre and free sports membership at the Sir Ton Finney Sports Centre on campus, to ensure that students have all the facilities needed for academic and personal growth.
