Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Chester

So far it’s been ok, the course structure did not benefit me in terms of my results and the lack of email assistance from some tutors also hindered my work. I didn’t do as well as I’d liked but I have passed and had the opportunity to do a lab based project. The best part is the friends I have gained - also the opportunity to apply for accreditation post degree. read full review
I have really settled in to Chester university in the first few months I have had a couple of assignments and the feedback has been good! I am looking forward to to the rest of the course read full review
It has been good and helpful and I have received my undergraduate degree. Lots of opportunities to get involved through volunteering and open days. Representation for lots of students through the sports and societies. A wide range of on site accommodation with a range of decent prices. Large selection of private household also for accommodation. read full review
It was a busy programme but it is worth the decision to study in the University of Chester.
The university is located in Chester which I consider very safe for international students.
Although there is room for improvement, I will confidently recommend this institution to future/aspiring students. read full review

I have chosen the right university for me and have access to great facilities and staff for guidance. My project is something i am really interested in and continuing from my BA to postgrad has enabled me to explore this. read full review
Very food experience I enjoy studying at university of Chester . My MSc is exactly what I want to learn about family and child psychology. The only thing that I find it difficult is the statistics read full review
Ok, but found my experience during my undergrad (elsewhere) more thorough and supportive.
Would have benefited from additional offers to extend transferability of skills, or short term work placements. Would benefit from more thorough and useful marking.
Pastoral care is high on the agenda which is positive. read full review

My university experience is very good. I got many support which was beyond my expectations such as appointment of the tutors and support of the career and employability centre, library read full review
I'm really glad I chose the University of Chester, as it lived up to the expectations I had of it. It's a small, friendly campus, and it feels a bit like being supported by a family (in contrast to my experiences at the University of Manchester many years ago - which were fantastic but completely the opposite). The standard of teaching is mostly very good, and the study pattern worked for me as a postgraduate (one full day of lectures per week rather than scattered across the week meant I was able to work professionally at the same time to finance my studies). Lecturers and tutors were approachable and passionate, and I felt like they took student wellbeing seriously. Free parking passes available for commuting students, which made travel much easier (I was coming over from Manchester). read full review
