UNIVERSITY OF CUMBRIA
Overall Rating

I have learnt sooooooo much over the past few years. The amount of experience and knowledge tutors share is inspiring. Facilities and resources are readily available, and the library is good too.
The option to do placements in London is exciting. University of Cumbria have really shaped my life, I can’t wait to see where I end up!

Student Union

Student union have done lots of great work over the past couple years. They have listened to students, and have brought in kettles, microwaves and water filters which are free to use. They plan many fun activities for students to socialise. They are always helpful!

Clubs and Societies

There are plenty of sporting activities to take part in, and there is also an on-site gym which I attend too.

Uni Facilities

Main building is good. Windows can be a little cold sometimes, but resources are amazing.

Course and Lecturers

Taught by enthusiastic tutors who are experienced and always willing to help. They love to listen to you, and answer any queries you have. Sometimes timetables can be a little awkward (3+ hour gaps) but I see it as a time to revise.

City Life

Yes, about a 10 minute walk into the centre of town.

Job Prospects

Yes, I’m currently going through the procedure of getting a placement located in London. This opportunity also has guaranteed work as soon as we finish placement, so we can continue and go into our NQT year.

Student Support

Fantastic support. Sometimes grades are slightly late, but feedback makes up for it.
