Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Cumbria

It was not positive at all. I have studied at a number of Universities and this one was definately the worst university. Especially considering I have paid 9k! I don't feel I have gained much at all for the money that I have paid. Everything I learned has been self taught due to the staff in schools having no time for me and the tutors at the uni not wanting to be hassled by students. The PGCE secondary course (core) puts unrealistic expectations on students and expects far too much from people in such as short period of time. Once you are in a school you are left and I wonder what the tutors in the uni's are actually being paid for at times. read full review

Wonderful. I have enjoyed every second of it. I much prefer Cumbria to my undergraduate degree uni. It all seems so much more professional. And it's small enough for the staff to care about each individual. read full review
Overall I am very happy with my experiences at university so far, although I am only a few months in to the course. The support has been great, very interesting course content and I look forward to coming in to lectures. read full review
Good for postgraduate students who want to study more than party. read full review
