Overview

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a campus-based university in Norwich with a global reputation for its excellent academic, social and cultural facilities, delivered to more than 15,000 students from over 80 countries, with over 4,000 making up its postgraduate community.

The University prides itself on the quality of its research, being part of Norwich Research Park, one of the largest communities of researchers in Europe, leading the way with research in areas including the environment, health, and plant science.

Facilities on campus include Britain’s greenest building, The Enterprise Centre, plus the University Sportspark, which has an Olympic-sized swimming pool. There’s also the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, a famous public art museum situated right on campus, beside UEA’s picturesque lake. With Norwich being England’s first UNESCO City of Literature, it’s no surprise that the Uni also hosts an international Literary Festival, which has featured world renowned authors such as Ian McEwan, Kazuo Ishiguro and Anne Enright (all alumni of UEA's Creative Writing course).

Postgraduate students at the University are joining an institution that has ranked in the top ten for the quality of its research (REF2014), the World Top 1% Times Higher Education World Rankings 2016-17, 15th in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017, and 12th in the Complete University Guide’s 2017 League Table – making 2017 a highly successful year.
