Course Summary

The largest concentration of researchers in education in a Scottish university and our research covers all aspects of education and learning from pre-school to higher and lifelong learning - plus sport and related fields. Moray House School of Education staff are able to provide supervision on a wide range of topics within the fields of education, recreation management, sociology of sport, sports science and counselling. Many opportunities exist for interdisciplinary research. The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) requires the submission of a thesis of not more than 60,000 words.

Students need to have a UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, in a related subject is normally required. Normally also a postgraduate degree with a 60% overall grade point average and 60% in the dissertation, or its international equivalent.
