MA International Relations

UNIVERSITY OF EXETER
Overall Rating

Overall the experience has been great! I’ve struggled a little making friends as an international student and I’ve felt overwhelmed with the work at times, but I’ve also met lovely people and the courses have taught me a lot!

Student Union

Have not had much experience with the Student’s Union

Clubs and Societies

There are loads of societies and clubs available. There is something for everyone I think

Uni Facilities

Very good. The library is easily accessible and there are lots of resources. There are numerous cafes and places to get food on campus, and plenty of study rooms (although more are needed considering the number of students)

Course and Lecturers

I very much enjoy my course content and the lecturers are usually kind and helpful. I wish assignments would be more varied however, as the assignments are mainly essays and presentations.

City Life

My university is about 20-25 minutes away from my accomodation and the town centre which for me is very decent and the walk can even be substituted for other exercise at times

Job Prospects

There are e-mails from the Career Zone almost daily with ideas for jobs, workshops, interview practises etc. It’s really up to you to look for jobs yourself and I think the university helps a lot with it if you put in some initiative yourself

Student Support

I think the support provided is good, tutors have designated office hours. Counselling could be slightly better as last time I had problems with mental health I was told to use an online website when I thought that perhaps I would be offered more in depth counselling services at the uni. Perhaps they did not consider my situation serious enough, which is fair, but I thought the option should at least have been discussed
