Overall Rating

Generally, it is a very beautiful university, and there are good energies in the different departments. The main thing that I have found difficult is that the uni is overwhelmingly white and middle-class, so can be alienating for people that do not fit into that bracket. That being said, there are societies that you can join where you can meet other people like you, and not feel alone in this sense. But this is a part of the uni that I wish I had been aware of before coming, as I do feel like a bit of an outsider at times!

Accommodation

It is undeniably expensive, but most of the halls in Exeter are. Staying in a building with a shared kitchen (uncatered) always means that you are dependent on the kinds of people you are living with, which can go either way. If you have problems, you can call campus Estate Patrol to come and assist you.
