Glasgow university is really diverse, which explains why it attracts a lot of international students.
The quality of the lecturers and the lecturer’s are top notch. There is no doubt that they are highly skilled in the areas they teach.
In addition to short courses on academic writing skills which advance research and essay writing skills, Glasgow uni also offers other short courses on LinkedIn and Group work to Teamwork, which increase employability after school.
The platform used to deliver reading materials and assessments ‘Moodle’ is amazing. It centralised everything a student needs!
Did I mention how massive and beautiful the uni is? It’s simply therapeutic and a fun place to hang out with friends. read full review

The mutual respect established from the very start by both students and staff has made classes incredibly enjoyable. I have found myself pleasantly surprised at the ease with which we all share personal work - there hasn’t been a moment when I felt unsafe to be myself, which means I can push myself in my creativity. The reading lists on the courses I’ve taken have been widely varied, making sure there’s something everyone will enjoy and introducing us to a lot of new concepts/styles of writing we wouldn’t otherwise attempt.
Due to the extremely heavy workload that tutors are faced with, there have been times when feedback/marking has been delayed or somewhat disorganised. This is something that has been raised by student representatives, however. In general there is an effective system for student feedback and voices to be heard and responded to.

You have a lot of opportunities to learn. It could be better if the university had places where the lunch is cheap or a bank food, moreover where I study doesn't have windows and the clean is not often and well done. read full review

UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW

Student Reviewer - February 2024

Good: Buildings, facilities are very nice, staff too, very kind and professional.

Bad: there are not canteen/café for student with a good compromise between price and quality.
At Joseph Black building, vending machines are always empty and it's insane because here weather is bad for the most of the time , so maybe a snack from vending should be nice instead going outside.
If you would like have info to join in a club/society they answer you very rarely and maybe should be nice have more info before buy a membership.

Not too bad: there are social events, but it can be improved, especially more connection with other schools. Example: I had a wish to attend Ceilidh of another school (Economy) but I found it as a coincidence just last minutes, so finally I was not able to attend. I would be maybe better compare to the one of my school (more elegant, less nerd)
