Understanding customers, marketing communication, marketing research, international strategic marketing, digital-marketing and brand management are all integral to this degree.

Assessments involve you in developing academic arguments as well as marketing writing, advertising design and marketing campaign development skills.

The course culminates in a dissertation or a marketing case project, enabling you to specialise in an area of marketing that you find particularly fascinating, and which you may wish to pursue in your marketing career.

If you have a relevant postgraduate diploma or professional award (such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Professional Postgraduate Diploma), then you may be able to join this programme at an advanced level.

This module explores the integrated efforts of marketing and communications in building and maintaining brand awareness, identity and preferences. The module recognizes the changing nature of the communications environment, where technological trends, emerging new media, and the need to communicate globally are changing the way communications managers work. The module therefore emphasizes developments beyond the traditional elements of the promotional mix of advertising, direct marketing, PR, Sales Promotion, personal selling and adopts an international focus throughout. The module offers a balanced approach to consumer and trade communications by providing an additional business-to-business communications perspective.
