Overview

The University of Greenwich has three campuses situated in south-east London and Kent. It offers a wide range of postgraduate programmes, along with a number of research degrees.

The university has nine Times Higher Education Awards, four Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education and two Guardian University Awards for Research Impact. Among the teaching staff, there are award winning National Teaching Fellows, while alumni of the university include Nobel Prize winners, a British Minister of State and author Malorie Blackman.

There are four faculties making up the university:

  • Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences
  • Business School
  • Faculty of Education & Health
  • Faculty of Engineering & Science

The university has strong links with industry professions, and employers from businesses in the City regularly present lectures and seminars.

The three sites at the university are in easy access of each other, via a campus bus. Greenwich Campus is located on a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on the bank of the River Thames and is 20 minutes away from central London.

Nearby in Eltham, Avery Hill Campus is split between two sites - Mansion Site and Southwood Site, located in the grounds of Avery Hill Park. The campus boasts a sports and teaching centre, complete with a multi-purpose sports hall as well as clinical skills laboratories, replicating NHS wards for trainee health professionals.

Medway Campus is 30 miles away from London and home to the Faculty of Engineering &Science.
