Overall, my university experience has been awesome. I have worked and studied at the university. Participated in life changing events and societies. I have made friends from different backgrounds and received support from student support services over my 5 years at the university. The environment is beautiful and library facilities are great as they have also aided me in completing my projects.
The student Union does a great job in promoting diversity and inclusion by organising a lot of activities for students and making students feeling welcome in the university. They are always there to help and give advice to students on a number of things.
There is a society for everyone giving the level of diversity in the university. There are also several sporting activities for students to take part in.
Very good. Accessibleand in great condition and is regularly maintained
The curriculum is very well structured. However every lecturer is quite different with their teaching methods. some I like and some I do not particularly enjoy.
Yes the university is very accessible and it is in very close proximity to bus stations and about three train stations. It has fantastic local amenities, with a lot of shops, restaurants and markets around.
The university has specific career services that are dedicated in helping students with cv's, job applications and mock interviews. the career services in each faculty also hosts/ organises several networking events for students to be able to meet employers. The university has a job board which students can go and look for opportunities and book appointments to see a member of staff for career advice. The university has mentoring schemes across all faculties to help students with career development. The university also employs students to do work placements and makes sure that a lot of students engage in activities to gain transferable skills.
Excellent support. There are dedicated services for any type of query a student might have. from employability services to the student centre, to the student union services. Every student also has a personal tutor who helps with any aspect a student maybe struggling with. Feedback is great from tutors as it is usually detailed and helps you improve your performance.
