International Business, MBA

Overall Rating

The overall experience is good as I got a job within the University finally. However I had to struggle a lot while finding a job as I got rejected because of my Student Visa and university doesn't have anything for MBA students related to placements and every year they are increasing the MBA intake. It was 100 3 years ago and now it is more than 500. But if the students don't have jobs in the end, how would it help them. They spend so much money and time for this.

Student Union

They are not too good as they are not of much help

Clubs and Societies

Societies are fine but we don't have any sport facilities or sports room in Greenwich Campus which is the main campus

Uni Facilities

Very good

Course and Lecturers

Most: Practical teaching

worst: lots of case studies during tutorials without clear understanding of the topic

City Life

Job Prospects

For undergraduates it is fine, but for post graduates it is the worst. They have more than 500 MBA students every year but no company tie-ups. All MBA students need to have a full time internship in order o get MBA degree but all the International students face the problem of rejection from companies due to Tier 4 visa status. and then they are stuck between not finding a job and the pressure from the University to acquire a job to get an MBA which is difficult and at the end a lot of then end up getting an MA degree.
