Course Summary

This Master's degree will provide you with knowledge of supply chain networks which may be designed for services or manufacturing and be global or domestic in scale. This includes the functions of procurement, production, distribution and customer service, and a diverse range of designs and structures. This Master's is accredited by the CILT and the CIPS and upon completion of the programme, you will have full professional status (to Level 6).

The degree aims to: provide you with a systematic understanding of relevant knowledge about logistics and supply chain management; help you apply relevant knowledge to a range of complex situations taking account of relationships and interaction with other areas of business or organisations within logistics and supply chain networks; and develop your critical awareness of current issues in logistics and supply chain management which is informed by leading edge research and practice in the field.

Students will be assessed through: coursework; presentations; in-class tests; consultancy project report and presentation; and a final dissertation. Graduates from this programme can pursue careers in service and manufacturing sectors, purchasing, logistics and supply chain management for services and manufacturing in the private, public and voluntary sectors, and consultancy.

Entry requirements

Students should have an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject at 2.2 or above, or equivalent qualification, from a recognised university or higher education institute. Applicants with relevant professional experience and CILT or CIPS qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
