Course Summary

The London-based MBA in Marketing Management focuses on developing your knowledge in marketing strategy and change management. This course meets the needs of industry and is accredited by the Institute of Data and Marketing and Institute of Leadership & Management. Our MBA provides a solid grounding in marketing management, which includes engaging projects. You will have the flexibility to follow your professional interests and engage with your chosen sector, from retail and travel to professional services and data modelling.

As part of the course, you must secure an internship with a company of your choice (UK or overseas) to apply your knowledge and gain practical experience. You will emerge with the experience and expertise to embark on managerial roles in marketing and the transferable skills to make an impact in any organisation.

The internship will help you to put into practice skills developed in communication, numeracy and problem-solving within a professional context, and to build your sense of business values and integrity. You are responsible for arranging your placement with support from the university, pending approval.

The Business School Employability Office will support and guide you through workshops, meetings, briefings, one-to-one appointments and group sessions. Former students have secured internships at Bosch, Harrods, Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG and Starbucks Coffee Company (UK) Limited.

Modules

To provide students with a critical insight and applied understanding of the tools of digital marketing. They will analyse critically the paradigm of relationship marketing and its role in digital strategies in order to develop a critical understanding of the theories, models and concepts pertaining to digital marketing and to apply these in a strategic integrated context. The Module aims to provide students with the skills necessary to develop appropriate strategic plans using these theoretical constructs and to evaluate their effectiveness in the development of appropriate communications plans and to understand the process of integration of the tools of digital marketing within the marketing mix.

Entry requirements

Students should have an undergraduate degree at 2.2 or above, or equivalent qualification, from a recognised university or higher education institute. Mature applicants without an undergraduate degree but with relevant business experience are encouraged to apply, subject to interview.
