Course Summary

On this programme you will focus on hardware and software integration methodologies together with the incorporation of modern neuro-fuzzy technologies, with the aim of developing systems that are able to improve their effectiveness through learning. Such systems can include autonomous robots on one hand and media-processing-intensive PDAs on the other. This course is accredited by IET as CEng and fulfils the educational requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer when presented with a CEng accredited Bachelors programme. On completion students will typically be employed in the design and implementation of advanced digital systems and networks in the communication and control industries. Within your area of expertise, you will be making independent design decisions on mission-critical systems.

Entry requirements

Applicants need to have a first or second-class degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline. In addition, applicants should have been exposed to relevant material at undergraduate level to sufficient depth to enable them to benefit from their chosen MSc programme.
