Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Hull

I love Hull as a city and a university. The people are really friendly and the course is very good too. I love how green Hull is too, as it has many parks and urban trees on very street. The university has great members of staff who are always willing to help. read full review
The university itself is a thriving evnvironment that seems dedicated to providing an excellent education to its students. My course however is relatively new so there were seveal issues throughout the year. It was frustrating at times as the students felt let down by a service they were paying for. Much more organisation needed to be put into this course. read full review
I've has a fantastic time at uni, so much so I stayed for my masters. This is partly due to the strong friendships I've formed but also because the uni is really good and I feel like the staff care read full review
My postgraduate experience is really great.

My undergraduate experience was not so good, but I felt that the teaching was not very engaging and as a mature student I did not really fit. read full review

UNIVERSITY OF HULL

Emma - October 2018

Supportive, challenging and interesting! Viva la Hull.
Hull has a bit of an unfair reputation for being a bit rough. Sure, it has its rough areas like any city, but I haven't had a single problem and I've found all the locals to be really lovely and welcoming. The city has so much to do in it, and the uni campus is GORGEOUS. read full review

UNIVERSITY OF HULL

Joana López Pigüi - October 2018

I've been here only for a month and a half but until the moment I feel very comfortable with the campus, the facilities, the student union and all the staff. I always felt very warm welcomed in this city and specially in the university as foreign student. read full review
It has been ok. I am a special case so I cannot say anything. Courses are ok, teachers can be great, timetable not convenient, but the library and classrooms are great. read full review
It has been amazing and I hate that it will all be over in a year!
It gives you an experience like no other and there will never be anything quite like it in your life. read full review
The uni has come under hard times recently due to poor decisions from on high. Departments have been merged into schools, this has lead to a generalisation of systems that causes many inefficiencies and meant that departments have little power to implement any changes. From this many of my department's best teaching staff have left. This, as I can see it, is the primary reason Hull has fallen such a staggering amount over the last few years. The uni still has good facilities, but the school system needs to be abandoned (a vote was had to do this, but the uni rejected it as there were not enough total votes cast, though the revert won by a landslide). The uni also needs to make sure to focus on what it has been historically best at, teaching rather than research. read full review
