PhD Psychology

Sonia - December 2018

I wish I didn't pick Hull. It was convenient for personal reasons but it did not at all prepare me for my future career. PhD program was extremely low level in comparison to others. read full review
it has been brilliant. like no other university! I will evaluate it when I have graduated my study. It has been very positive experience for me so far. I will highly recommend the Engineering and computer science school to anybody who is looking for an engineering degree. read full review
Very good. Particularly at Master's level we are left to work independently a lot but I know the tutors are great as I can go and see them in their office hours or email them about any issues. read full review
I have loved being a part of hull uni and feel part of a community. There is something here for everyone no matter what your interests are. Always go to the fairs at the start of the year so you can get everything you need to know read full review

MA in Education

Alex - December 2018

My experience has been fine so far. Hopefully I will have more contact next term to make a more influenced decision. I will return to the library but think that the student's union should reach out to non-campus students more. read full review
I am as a oversea student, the language is the biggest problem in communication, both in class and uni life.
The tutors and stuff in the uni are all friendly, I felt they are happy to help foreign students.
I think the remain problem is on myself, to be more work hard. I can learn a lot if I want because there are a lot sources provided.
I like it so much. read full review
Really good, met some fantastic people and the way the course is tailored to busy professionals is fantastic. The material taught is relevant to those in senior management and I believe it is a great stepping stone to enhancing your career. read full review
My university experience (both undergraduate and postgraduate) have been very positive. I feel I am supported academically and personally. Overall, the campus has a community feel despite there being thousands of students. The library facilities are excellent and new developments are constantly being implemented. read full review
My overall experience at the university of Hull has been a positive one. The supervisory staff for my masters by research project have been helpful and friendly throughout and I have found them approachable when I've needed their assistance. The university is a nice environment to be in. I have one more negative comment regarding the university as a whole and it is relating to smoking on Campus - i think moving forward, the university should push for a smoke free campus!! read full review
My experience was average at best. There relationship between students and teachers is more akin to that of a customer and a service provider. In most cases you need a degree to succeed professionally so getting one is unavoidable. read full review
