Course Summary

This module covers diabetic emergencies, presentation, management and broader aspects of managing in-patients with diabetes. You will be able to critically appraise current research and national directives which support the clinical management for diabetes inpatient care.

It is particularly suitable for healthcare professionals with an interest in diabetes inpatient care such as specialist registrars, diabetes specialist nurses, consultant diabetologists, podiatrists, pharmacists and ward nurses. This module is assessed through exam, 1 hour (20%) and written assignment, 3,000 words (80%).
