UNIVERSITY OF LINCOLN
Overall Rating

So far, it has been a pleasant experience across the board. The city is lovely, the people are pleasant, the university is great and its just enjoyable.

If you want to study at a university that's not ridiculously big where you can feel overwhelmed and lost but not too small where you might end up having dinner with a lecturer at your house because they just happen to know your parents, then Lincoln just might be for you.

Student Union

I have not seen any actual operation of the SU regarding representation, however their facilities are top notch.

Clubs and Societies

Acceptable, there is a large selection and based on the societies existing, there is definitely something for everyone's interest.

Uni Facilities

They are definitely at a higher level than I've expected.

Course and Lecturers

I love that its a research based course, therefore no stress of potentially forgetting something in an exam.

I hate the timetable on which some of the topics are taught.

City Life

University - No; a 35 - 40 minute walk is usually the case.

Local amenities -More or less. Major supermarket is easily accessible via a 10-15 minute walk but the main shopping center is about 30 minutes away.

Job Prospects

A dedicated Careers and Employability department assists in so many ways as well as they host a number of career fairs for students to interact with potential employers.

Student Support

The support is phenomenal ranging from tutors to the dedicated student support department. From the beginning - ie applying, you get support wherever you need it.
