The University of Northampton recently relocated to its £330 million, brand new purpose built Waterside Campus situated in central Northampton. One of the youngest universities in the UK, it has been recognised with a number of awards, including the Gold Teaching Excellence Framework accolade, and being shortlisted for Business School of the Year.

There are music venues, sports clubs, theatres, cinemas and a wide range of shops, as well as bars, restaurants and clubs. Students can also get involved in social activities going on at the university, with the Students' Union regularly organising events.
