UNIVERSITY OF READING
Overall Rating

Very pleased with my experience at the University of Reading.

Student Union

Very supportive and caring for the students needs. Good facilities with lots of various activities going on throughout the year.

Clubs and Societies

Not very dominant within the university, not much funding into each club and none have a strong status amongst the university life.

Accommodation

Newly built and stylish, good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Cleaned well and regularly.

Uni Facilities

A few new buildings e.g. henley business school and sports park, which are modern and have lots to offer. Some buildings slightly dated and need refurbishing. Library very good, large and open 24/7, as well as having a variety of types of seating for different types of work.

Course and Lecturers

Some lecturers have strong accents and it is hard to understand what they say. Furthermore, some are not very engaging thus very tedious.

City Life

The town centre is close with good links into London. The shopping centre has a variety of shops and restaurants. Not very big for someone used to a larger city life.

Job Prospects

Many career talks covering many job options. Within departments are more specified talks related to each degree. Also strong with offering services that help students prepare for interviews, create CV's, write cover letters etc.

Student Support

Approachable, easy to contact and caring. The university offers a variety of support for different needs of each student.

Having said what you have said would you recommend your uni?
