This course is designed to prepare students for the challenges of senior management within an international environment. You will gain a foundation in the key operational and functional areas of business and management, and develop knowledge on strategic management and decision-making. You will be supported in your own personal development, through activities aimed at enhancing managerial skills and taking your career to the next level. Our MBA nurtures personal ambitions and provides greater management knowledge and expertise to improve career prospects. MBA students have the opportunity to participate in a range of talks and activities designed to help them develop their personal and career management skills. Students will also achieve PgDip awards in this course.

Strategy, Change and Leadership - Core

This compulsory module will offer an introduction to strategic management, and decisionmaking in organizations of various types, including large corporations, SMEs, public-sector bodies, and social enterprises. It will offer an exploration of key concepts relating to long and medium term strategic considerations as well as operational strategies employed in the short term day-to-day running of organizations.

Strategic Marketing Management - Core

The module explores the relationship between the marketing concept as a strategic orientation and the managerial activities essential to the planning, execution and evaluation of marketing strategy. A specific aim of the module is to develop a clear understanding of marketing as a business philosophy applicable to all organisational types. The module shows how, although marketing's underlying, customer-focused approach is constant, the functional activities of marketing at strategic, tactical and operational levels are determined by each particular marketplace environment.

International Management and Human Resource Management (MBA)

The module aims to develop and promote the students’ analytical skills, creativity and independent thinking about the contribution that Organisational Behaviour and HRM can make to organisational performance, particularly in the context of continuous change and the increasing globalisation of business and management practice. The module has strong links with the Managerial and Personal Development module in which management and personal skills are developed.
