Modern Languages - French and Spanish

UNIVERSITY OF SALFORD
Overall Rating

I would say that overall it's a good university, especially for Language and Midwifery students. The proximity to Manchester city centre is great, and the facilities are much better than some others I have experienced

Student Union

The Union bar is great and the Student Union representatives are very helpful and friendly.

Clubs and Societies

There are lots of Sporting societies and a variety of non sporting, but there are not as many oprions as other universities I have visited.

Accommodation

I stayed in Castle Irwell, the cheapest offered by the university and you get what you pay for. Not suitable for those who like a quiet environment

Uni Facilities

The libraries are great, with plenty of computer access and areas for all types of studying. There are also several great eating areas where you can have a cheap hot meal, or Costa stands for the caffeine fix

Course and Lecturers

The Spanish department at my university is particularly good. The classes are small so the teaching can be more thorough and detailed.

City Life

Manchester the neighbouring city has a great student atmosphere. There is always something to do and there are plenty of deals designed especially for students. Salford itself has all the necessary amenities but no real student life.
