Overview

The University of Salford’s campus is based across three sites, with Peel Park within walking distance of Manchester.

More than 3,000 postgraduate students study taught and research degrees each year, contributing to some of Salford’s nationally and internationally-recognised research projects.

There are four academic schools at the University of Salford:

  • School of Arts and Media
  • School of Health and Society
  • Salford Business School
  • School of Science, Engineering and Environment

The university boasts industry-standard facilities. These include the flagship £55 million New Adelphi building for art, design, music, performance and architecture subjects; practice clinics for healthcare students, including a patient simulation suite, sports injury clinic, podiatry clinic and human performance lab; a journalism centre that includes two HD TV studios, a newsroom, radio studio and editing gallery; specialist laboratories for science and engineering-based subjects; and much more.
