The University of Salford’s campus is based across three sites, with the main riverside site, Peel Park, within walking distance of Manchester.
More than 4,000 postgraduate students study taught and research degrees each year, contributing to some of Salford’s nationally and internationally-recognised research projects.

Each academic school boasts industry-standard facilities. These include practice clinics for healthcare students, art and design studios, fully virtual 3D sets for media students, and a 350-seat theatre.
The main university site at Peel Park is home to many of the lecture theatres, study facilities and the Students’ Union, as well as the Schools of Arts and Media, Built Environment, Computer Sciences and Engineering, Environment and Life Sciences, and Salford Business School. The Frederick Road site is home to the School of Health Sciences, and the School of Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work and Social Sciences. Journalism and Media students study at the university’s MediaCityUK site, sitting amongst creative organisations including the BBC and ITV.
