All courses are tailored towards employability. Along with lectures and reading, students are taught the practical skills they need to step straight into work in their chosen field or take the next step in their career.
At USW, students can gain the skills they need in environments that recreate the workplace. From equipment to software to professional practice, students can build their confidence on campus and be ready for the real world. Recent figures show that over 95% of graduates are employed within six months of leaving the institution, having been fully prepared with a combination of academic tutoring and career support services.
Career support services include feedback on CVs, mock interviews and networking with businesses. Events are run regularly for students to meet and build connections, bringing in some of the 3,500 businesses that the university partners with. Support even continues after graduation, including personal career advice, application support and graduate job alerts.
