Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of South Wales

The universities main campus is in the Valleys so it’s a little isolated . The SU is amazing I love the staff and the full time officers! And the club nights are really good.

Some university staff and lecturers are very helpful friendly and passionate also some of the support services need a lot of improvement.

The facilities are okay but not enough laptops for students and space in the library.

Overall for me usw is a 3/5 read full review
Best aspect: The uni is committed to supporting students in both academic and non academic spheres. This is key to any educational institution. A physical walk-in desk for student enquiries is in place as well as online links to the various needs areas.

Worst aspect: The image and layout. The outward image of the institution doesn’t match its reputation. Some structures require painting/cleaning of the outside walls, particular the G block that is visible from afar. Image is crucial. Secondly, there is no clear signage to guide you various buildings in the uni. For example, while at the main gate, you wouldn’t know how to access the B Block. read full review

Choosing a suitable university was a critical decision for me, and I took into consideration a number of factors before making my decision. I looked into many universities based on academic reputation, faculty competence, and available resources. It was critical for me to locate a university that offered the programme I desired, as well as a thorough curriculum and options for specialisation. I also examined the campus climate and location, since I desired a vibrant and welcoming community that would benefit my entire learning experience. In addition, I researched each university's extracurricular activities and support services to ensure a well-rounded experience. Considering all of these factors enabled me to make an informed decision and choose the university that best matched my academic and personal objectives.university of Southwales met all my requirements and I went for it,and I’m glad I did read full review

Excellent support from lecturers. Well-being service is also really good.
Newport campus is a great location, however not really any student union presence in Newport. And the building has more of a corporate head office feel than that of a university campus.
The library services are fantastic and there are several well equipped computer suites. read full review
The location is great. Worst aspects is being mandatorily put in groups with people from same region who wouldn’t let you have a say and disregard you no matter what you say because they are the majority.
The disadvantage of working in a group is that members of the group don't always cooperate well. Also, merging different people with different personalities might lead to arguments, which would waste time and lead to an unproductive group.
