Strathclyde is a research-oriented university, delivering a transformative learning experience. It invests intelligently in campus facilities to provide a superb environment in which to study and socialise. Recent years have seen significant enhancements in campus infrastructure, with upgrades to existing departments, and many entirely new facilities.
The new state-of-the-art £60 million Learning & Teaching Building, which opened in 2021, includes cutting-edge teaching facilities, student support services and the Students’ Union. The recently completed £31 million Strathclyde Sport Building provides exceptional sports and wellbeing facilities, including a fully equipped fitness suite, sports halls and a 25-metre swimming pool.
The university has four academic faculties – the Strathclyde Business School, Engineering, Science, and Humanities & Social Sciences. The Business School is one of fewer than 100 schools to have triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIA, and the Engineering faculty is the largest in the country.
The university is located in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. Glasgow offers students an excellent nightlife, a diverse culinary scene, excellent shopping and plenty of cultural and sporting attractions.
