Course Summary


MBA with Placement is a 12-month taught course followed by a six-month work placement, facilitated by the University.

Following the two semesters of teaching, you will have the opportunity to undertake a placement to utilise and demonstrate your skills and knowledge within a work environment.

The University will support you in securing a paid placement or work experience. Our dedicated faculty placements team is well-connected with regional and national employers and each year places candidates in roles including marketing, human resources, finance, operations and supply-chain positions.

Securing a paid work placement is a competitive process and we will help you with the selection process from application to interview.

Our students have secured placements with companies including: Nissan, Caterpillar, Fujitsu, Network Rail and White Lodging Services, as well as small entrepreneurial firms in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

While you are studying for this course, you will be an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This gives you access to the CMI's support resources and networking opportunities. If you have 3 or more years' management experience when you graduate, you will be entitled to apply for full membership of the CMI or Chartered status.

• This course is designed to support career acceleration for suitably academically qualified applicants. All levels of practical work/work experience will be considered including applications from candidates with pre-graduation or limited/no work experience post degree who can display that they will benefit from a programme of this type. • Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification. • Candidates will be required to attend a short Skype interview as part of the application process.
