University of Sussex

It is a university with great location, you are literally studying in the middle of a national park and can easily reach lovely small towns or head to the beach. The student life is always interesting because there are so many things you can do, so many different activities organized by different societies that always promote respect, culture, and diversity.

The experience of living on campus is also great, but it can be quite different depending on what accommodation you choose. . A couple of negative points in my accomodation: there are constantly problems with shower plumbing, heathers, and you spend a lot of money doing laundry.

You also have a variety of food options, probably some could improve, but even for that the University staff has constantly been making inquiries about what could improve. There are a lot of vegan, vegetarian options and really nice menus like the one at the IDS Bar. Also nice cocktails at Room 76.

The studying environment is great overall, teachers are really committed and are highly prepared. Even when they striked they made sure we all understood why it was happening and invited us to engage in their activities at the picket line.

The international experience is really nice. There are a lot of people from many different countries studying and teaching, so you will for sure get to experience every festivity you can imagine, learn languages or just hang out with friends from far away places.

It has a great location, classrooms, store, pharmacy, everything is really close. The rooms are equipped in a nice way, the beds are 3/4 which is perfect and the kitchen is big enough for the 8 of us to cook at the same time. There should be more laundry facilities instead of just a couple of big ones and it should be free at least to wash, or at least less costly. There is not a lot of interest in managing to follow effective recycle strategies.
