The best thing about the University of Sussex is that it cares about the emotions and worries of each student and set up mechanism where students can visit and express their issues and challenges. As an International student, I was completely blank when I first arrived at the campus. However, the University staff and faculty has welcomed me warmly. One of the best services that addresses each and every student needs and concerns is Student Centre. Student centre is a place where comprehensive services are there for students; for students, welcome desk for all the queries a might have, career and mental health supports. Also, the Student Centre is the one stop centre where students can referred to others departments after assessing their needs and concerns.
In addition to the comprehensive services of student centre, University of Sussex has a very enriched faculty in Law. My international law course is developed through using world class reading materials and practical lessons, for instance, model UN mooting sessions and negotiation skills competitions. All the resources of each courses, lecture recordings and additional materials are in Canvas where a student can easily access them whenever they need. In a nutshell, University of Sussex has outstanding faculty and enriched student services where all the needs of the students from diverse backgrounds are addressed in a warmly manner.

Moreover, the all the services at the University of Sussex are disable friendly. All the buildings here has accessibility for the person with especific needs. There are disable friendly walk ways and washrooms as well.

Apart from the best experiences, there are few instances which might need to be improved. These are students residential facilities such as free laundry service at each residential buildings. The laundry service at the University of Sussex are currently charging students which should be free in my opinions or cost should be included in the lodgings. Another aspect that needs improvement is that more free social gatherings for all students. Currently, most of the social events have a entry free which might create obstacles for some students both international and national students to participate. Students who are staying away from families might feel distressed and lonely if there are less social events to participate and an entry fee which they could not afford. Considering the rise in the cost of living and tuition fees every year, the social events should be free for all students.

The best experience is that fastest internet service. The fast response of the maintenance team whenever any issues reported to the university hall management team.

The worst thing is that university halls is charging for laundry service.
