MSc in Economics

UNIVERSITY OF YORK
Overall Rating

I had a very educational year at York. Even though at the beginning I overestimated my dominance on some subjects, I actually realised that I was mistaken and that I was understanding and interiorising tons of new knowledge during my degree. And these lessons were not limited to what I was learning from my lectures and readings, but also from understanding the way that British professors think (as economists in my specific case) and lastly, from my very own ability to be autonomous during most of my study time.

Student Union

They are very active and always keen to help new students.

Clubs and Societies

There is a wide diversity of societies so no one feels excluded. Every society I joined was fun and very lively.

Accommodation

Uni Facilities

Course and Lecturers

One of my lecturers struggled with teaching in English, although he is very smart, the best in his field in fact. Another brilliant professor taught lectures without a clear order.

City Life

York is full of pubs and coffee shops. However, it is common to feel cabin fever after a couple of months.
