Taught
The UK is in need of highly skilled practitioners with knowledge of issues relating to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEN/D). This programme equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to be one of these much needed practitioners.
Course overview
Whatever your current role within educational practice, the programme will provide an opportunity to build your knowledge of theoretical frameworks by studying an exciting range of innovative modules.
This is a flexible programme, and you can tailor your learning to your own individual context and background. For example, the programme provides a clear progression for SEN-coordinators (SENCOs) who may have previously completed a Postgraduate Certificate Award.
Through experiential enquiry, research and scholarship you will learn about historical and contemporary theoretical frameworks surrounding SEN/D. You will also develop the research skills needed for analysis and appraisal of SEN/D provision.
