Course info

The MA in International Relations Online provides a stimulating and wide-ranging exploration of the concepts, theories, actors and processes shaping contemporary global politics. With September, January and May entry points, the programme develops the analytical skills needed to critically examine global issues and build a strong foundation for further study. It is ideal for those aspiring to leadership roles as analysts and policymakers in international organisations, NGOs, charities, and across the public and private sectors. The MA International Relations explores contemporary global issues including peace and security, development, migration, foreign policy, climate change, AI, and EU-UK relations. Through a range of thought-provoking modules, students gain a sophisticated understanding of international relations, developing the analytical skills to apply key theories and concepts to real-world challenges. Studying one module per term, students can balance postgraduate study with professional and family commitments while accessing a Russell Group education from anywhere in the world. Those with a stronger policy focus may wish to consider the MSc International Public Policy. We also offer PGCert and PGDip pathways in International Relations.
