Modules

This module will provide you with a comprehensive knowledge of theory and application across key development areas of computer aided engineering. This module will provide a comprehensive and advanced operation of analytical software covering mathematical modelling, finite element analysis and computation fluid dynamics. Using industry standard software and methods students will create innovative projects to develop your abilities to apply CAE tools to complex engineering problems. This module develops the following graduate attributes: problem solver, self-aware.

Entry requirements

Normally, you should have at least a lower second class honours degree (2.2) in a relevant subject; for instance, a BSc (Hons) or BEng (Hons) in mechanical engineering, motorsport engineering, automotive engineering, biomedical engineering or mechatronic engineering.
