You will be able to apply knowledge and skills developed in this course in energy and power generating industries with sustainability as a priority. You will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to dream big and be an agent for change to secure the future of generations to come.Focussing on sustainable engineering and technologies in the area of energy and power, the course is designed around the core areas of sustainability for engineers, environmental impact, advanced thermos-fluid systems with a strong emphasis on renewable energy systems, advanced processing methods and optimisation using AI for the process industries. To ensure that you are fully prepared for the breadth of the challenges ahead, the use of power electronic converters covering advanced concepts of power electronic converter systems along with the use of smart grids and sustainability are all integral elements. You will also study research planning, communications, strategy and management to provide a balance between technical expertise and management of sustainable systems, giving you enhanced employability attributes.
