The Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care at King's is a world-leading centre for applied and allied healthcare, clinical research and education. Our focus is on training the nursing and healthcare leaders of the future, with a strong commitment to providing post-qualification programmes of the highest quality. Qualified nurses provide, lead and coordinate care, and high-quality nursing care is key to the success of patient recovery. Having the right mix of knowledge and skills is therefore hugely important to ensure the people you care for have positive clinical outcomes. This course supports qualified nurses in Hong Kong to develop their knowledge and skills so they are able to take their career in nursing to the next level. The course will support you in your path to become an expert clinical decision-maker, able to autonomously manage and lead healthcare practice. The course will be delivered in a blended mode, with a combination of face-to-face teaching at Hong Kong University, supplemented by additional online teaching and e-learning activities. Applicants based in Hong Kong will study alongside UK and other international nurses enrolled on the course. The course will provide you with the knowledge you need to ensure the care you provide is compassionate, evidence-based and person-centred. You’ll also learn about the use of digital strategies in healthcare, and be able to engage with institutional and wider cultures that promote patient safety and care.
