Your Learning ExperienceThe MSc Mechanical Engineering course will provide you with advanced knowledge and skills in key aspects of mechanical engineering. Throughout the duration of this course, you will develop a critical awareness of ethical and environmental considerations, in addition to learning about advanced mechanical engineering practice and theory.Candidates must hold a CEng accredited BEng/BSc (Hons) undergraduate first degree to comply with full CEng registration requirements.

Modules

You will learn to develop the ability to apply appropriate computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques to the solution of a wide range of problems involving fluid flow and heat transfer. Through the use of application examples within industry-standard software you will become familiar with effective approaches to CFD modelling and to interpret the results gained in light of the underlying equations of viscous flow, heat transfer and other physical models such as turbulence models.
