The MRes in Sport, Health and Applied Science is a unique opportunity for you to undertake a Master’s degree, with a specific research focus.

Modules

The aim of this module is to produce an original and substantial piece of research drawing on the knowledge and understanding, and the skills accumulated over the course of the MRes. When presenting their research findings, students should demonstrate a deep understanding of a range of research methods. They will be able to catalogue the systematic analysis and critical evaluation of the work of other researchers in the field. They will consider and manage the ethical implications and expectations of a research project(s). Finally, it will provide them with a deep understanding and an appreciation of the research presentation modes available to disseminate research findings.

Entry requirements

Students should have an (2:2) Upper second class degree (or equivalent) in a related field. Related fields include sport science, physical education, sport rehabilitation and physiotherapy. Applicants with other appropriate qualifications or experience will be considered.
