This multidisciplinary Master’s course has been specifically designed to help engineers develop entrepreneurial skills. Co-delivered by UCL Mechanical Engineering and the UCL School of Management, you will learn to harness the transformative power of emerging technologies to drive commercial applications and business innovation. Throughout the course , you will hone your business skills through practical exercises in entrepreneurship and project management, helping you understand how to effectively commercialise your talents and expertise in emerging technologies and markets. This MSc enables you to develop a tailored learning pathway to meet your innovation objectives. You will select modules to enhance your expertise in fields such as biomedical engineering, advanced computer applications, control and robotics, entrepreneurial finance, or advanced materials science, depending on your specific interests. This course is for students with a relevant first degree, such as engineering, physics, or applied mathematics, who wish to enhance their technical skills, knowledge, and understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship. It will prepare you to drive innovation and lead technology and engineering developments in roles across a wide range of sectors.

All students undertake an Innovation and Group Design Project and an individual research project, both of which culminate in a substantial dissertation. The Group Project focuses on creativity and design, teamwork, project management and entrepreneurial skills. The research project revolves around student research interest; it often has industry input and develops high-level presentation, critical thinking and research skills.
