This module provides a deep insight in some key theories and topics in Corporate Finance. The module looks at how firms and corporation manage financial investment and decisions in the long term and short term. The module will discuss topics ranging from simple time value of money to how firms evaluate financial performance, decision regarding investment in capital, capital structure, how firms decide in dividend policy.

Entry requirements

A UK bachelors' degree with upper second-class honours or higher (or equivalent overseas qualification approved by the University) in accounting, auditing or any degree subject with at least seven modules in accounting. Applicants with relevant work experience or professional qualifications are encouraged to apply. Professional qualifications such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications can compensate for unrelated degree subject. Work experience in accounting is not a requirement but can compensate for degree subject/grades.
