In most cases you will need to have a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification. You may also need some related professional experience for some courses.
Specific modules will vary depending on the course you choose but some common topics covered in this field include engineering project management, biochemical engineering, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
A postgraduate qualification will help you secure or develop your engineering career. You might become an engineering project manager or engineering consultant in your chosen area of engineering, or you might use it to go into teaching or research.
