Well, beyond the basic entry requirements that we have for the various programs, we are looking for people who are intellectual curious who have real questions about the kind of area they want to study. They have a good sense of why they want to do a degree in global politics of master level or International political economy.
They have real questions they want to answer but they also have an idea to what they can do with that degree at the end and some people do the degree for its own sake and that's fantastic. Many people, there is an instrumental reason, they want to go into the world and put that degree to use and that often comes through an applicant's overviews and personal statements about their motivations. And it's worthwhile noting, although we have basic requirements.
Very often we'll into look out applicants you may not meet those requirements if they actually have come from backgrounds such as experience in the work place, any kind of workplace relevant skills, experiences and so on that might actually make some absolutely fantastic prospective candidates. And some of the best applicants we have had and some of the best performers we have had in our degrees in recent years have been people who have actually come from a background whom there have been a question mark over whether they met the entry requirements are specifically detailed but brought with them a great richness of experience from particular jobs they have done, particular posts that they have held and the kind of questions they want an answer that make them absolutely fantastic for our programs.
And that is particularly true of our MSc in governance and policy who quite often have agreed many people coming from policy backgrounds, government backgrounds, civil service backgrounds, or maybe on a street entry requirement label, don't quite make it, but alternate best people we could have possibly admitted. So we're very open to different kinds of experience and different kinds of backgrounds.
