The pace of the course is good and quite interesting. The lecturers are very contact heavy which is good. But they simply need to speak up so we can hear or figure out the speaker system here as a lot cannot work it out. We should be able to use free rooms when they are not being used. I am hoping to go on to a PHD at Cambridge from here. read full review

The first year here wasn't good at all it lacked in so many areas but the second year has been so much better. Birbeck really need to work on trying to find students jobs on graduation. read full review

The student accommodation here is ace and much better than I ever imagined. I think the uni needs to help us in gaining a job on graduation. London is an amazing city to come and live in. read full review

Birbeck is a good university. The course and lecturers here are fine but need to be more engaging. Space is at a premimum here but we need more student hang out spots. The tutors need to be more active and involved not just through email. read full review

I have found the lecturers to treat us the students as individulas and relate to us on a one-on-one level. All the UCL libraries are free to us as students at Birbeck and that is amazing as the facilities are second to none. My job prospects should be pretty good coming from Birbeck - I am hopeful. read full review

The teaching materials need to improve here at Birbeck. We do not seem to ever really achieve a good level. The facilities are good and I have access to everything I need for my course. The student union are so disorganisged and can't plan anything - I don't even know who represents us. read full review

Some courses have a higher standard thatn others. We need more reading material and for it to be fully inclusive which some aren't. The library is great but is carzy busy at peak times from around 5.30. There are a load od clubs and societies to choose from if you want to get involved. The student union are there I just never needed them. read full review

It is hard to rely on the help you need from the lectutrers and tutors here at Birbeck. We get very little feedback and we don't get the push that every student needs. I find the classes interesting . The library need to be open 24 hours as we need constant access to it. I joined a few clubs and societies but to be honest I haven't attended any. There are a lack of quality career advisors and advise here. The administartion for the careers depart is awful - you have to book appointments but half the time they don't answer the phone and you only get 20 minutes with them - and the advise I got wasn't benificial. They seemed clueless. read full review

Everything is so fast paced - it becomes difficult to absorb the information and work with it. I do think that the course content is good though. The clubs and societies are terrible. Most students at Birbeck are mature students and just talk and care about their families so have very little time for out of hours activities. The emails we get from Birbeck just read as spam - it is good that we are a part of UCL. read full review

The tutors and lectures are great. They are very engaging and are helpful. They have a great knowledge of the subject and deliver it very well. London is way to expensive a place for a student to live in. I do receive emails from the university about the career fares and techniques in interview skills. read full review
