Develop an advanced clinical practitioner skillset. You’ll be able to meet the needs of the growing number of people who live with complex and long-term conditions. As part of this course you’ll: Follow the NHS four-pillar framework for advanced clinical practitioners: clinical practice, leadership and management, education, and research Develop the advanced health assessment skills and professional expertise you’ll need to work as an autonomous practitioner Apply your expert knowledge, complex decision-making skills and clinical reasoning in your clinical setting Be client-centred and clinically focused in your work Gain the essential skills you’ll need to work in acute, primary or secondary care settings, or in any organisation where you’ll need advanced diagnostic skills Professional body regulation This course is accredited by the Centre for Advancing Practice. The Centre was established to standardise post-registration education by accrediting advanced practice courses that achieve the standards outlined in the multi-professional Advanced Practice Framework. On successful completion of this course, you’ll be eligible to join the Centre’s Advanced Practice Directory. Your studies will build upon the Advanced Health Assessment module to focus upon complexity and pathophysiology

The tuition fee for students entering in 2026/27 is £57.77 per credit. The total number of credit points for this course is 180. The fee you pay may differ based on the number of credit points you study.
