Principles of Marketing as Creative Practice will teach the theory of marketing and its application. The learning approach includes collaborative problem solving and reflection. The realization of marketing goals and related processes is delivered through learning within teams.
This module will provide participants with knowledge of the conceptual vocabulary and fields of application of ?customer experience design? as a system that examines processes, activities and tasks. Given the growing commercial importance of the ?experience economy?, participants will explore interactions between customers/users and service providers in various operational contexts, such as tourist destinations, health care sector, and retailing settings. Customers always have an experience - good, bad, and often indifferent. The experiential marketing knowledge and service design skills gained in this course will help participants developing an analytical view of service offerings that leads to sustainable experiences.
The aim of the Search Marketing module is for students to understand the planning, execution and measurement of search marketing campaigns including search advertising and optimisation and is suitable for anyone who would like to pursue a career or enhance their marketing knowledge in this area. The module is suitable for participants with any level of skill or experience and will prepare them to engage specifically with search marketing within the overall digital marketing domain.
The aims of the module are to examine the key concepts in digital asset management (DAM); demonstrate how and why organisations use DAM systems and analyse the tactical and strategic considerations in selecting and implementing a DAM system.
Digital Marketing will teach you modern marketing practices relating to search, mobile campaigns, online publishing, content strategy, digital planning and strategy. This module aims to inform knowledge and understanding of the contemporary marketing communications environment, online and offline; focus on the digital media environment and its influence on culture, consumers and consumption to develop critical reasoning skills in the context of applications of interactive information and communication technology (ICT) to business processes; introduce participants to the elements of website design, blogging, and social media platforms; critically evaluate content generation and related marketing communications strategies and explore offline and online integration, consumer engagement and related metrics and analytics.
This module is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to produce a focused project on a topical area in marketing. By the end of the module, students should have developed the practical skill to write a report in an engaging manner so that the main thrust of the report is accessible to non-specialists.
The module will provide an introduction to marketing research, concentrating on the design of market research projects and how market research data are collected and the implications this has for analysis. After completing the course the student should understand the nature and scope of market research, appreciate the various forms market research can take and interpret and comment on the results obtained from such research.
