The best aspect is the faculty and access to experts.

No specific “worst” aspect as the experience has been amazing. The current redundancy scheme of the university is despicable and has certainly made the experience less perfect than what it could have been. read full review

Worst- the canteen does not provide enough food or enough variety of foods to meet dietary requirements. The staff (who are lovely!) Are very overworked and due to it being a small team, the bar can often close unexpectedly following staff illness , or actually what happens very often is they will frequently run out of food or not get food delivered. So far this week, there has been no food to buy - this happens very frequently. It's unreliable, and when everything is up and running fine- not all diets are catered enough, and queue times are super long. Currently the canteen cannot sustain with the number of students on campus. The best experience are how fantastic every single one of our teachers are. All are experts in their field and genuine professionals from the industry. They work super hard and clearly care for the students and their progression. read full review

I think the best thing about Essex is the sense of student life, the on campus club, the bar and they are starting to bring back student friendly prices.
The only thing is I dont think there is much communication between staff and students, maybe in my department specifically.

Study life is one of the best I have experinced. One challenge i encountered was the lie i was told in each office I went to when I needed to meet with the international service team reagrding a crucial concern which not even the department could provide me, myself and other student who needed the service were lied to for more than 2 months consecutively. We were told that the international service team do not have an office in the school meanwhile the office is in school at the hub. read full review

Studying here has given me the opportunity to meet and collaborate with people from all over the world, which has been incredibly valuable both personally and creatively. Working with individuals from different cultural backgrounds has broadened my perspective and strengthened my ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.

I also really appreciate that the course offers strong practical experience alongside theory. It allows us to apply what we learn in real situations, which makes the learning process much more meaningful and engaging.

If I were to suggest an area for improvement, I would say that occasionally some modules feel slightly basic in level. Perhaps introducing more advanced or challenging material in certain areas could help push students further and maximise their potential.

First thing as an international student I look is teaching and staff support. This university has good teaching staff the knowledge they share is impeccable. The support we get from staff is appreciable. Coming to my department Maths they respond in timenly manner to my email very quick to solve and suggest the issues i have. Great experince. Next comes facilities the labs the classes and infrastruture this Uni is providing is exceptional. The things which i dont like there is no good support in labs and proper conductance of labs. Then comes accomodiation intially i stayed in short stay for a week then i checked for uni accomodation but there is no proper support or communication. When i mailed about it i got to know they are closed but after 10 days they advertisied for uni accomodation again. i dont know what happened there. Overall its been a good 1 month or so for me. read full review
