Location is amazing. Teaching staff especially for FLAS is very cooperative and supportive. read full review
The engineering department is based in Medway rather than Greenwich, which isn't well advertised. A search for the state of the surrounding Medway/Chatham area is worthwhile for prospective students.
The facilities aren't great. There's a decent library (although it leaks when it rains), and the canteen is OK but everything else is outdated and needs some investment. The toilets rarely flush properly and the contract cleaning staff do quite a poor job of keeping on top of the buildings. Outside of learning, the surrounding area has quite a lot to do, however on campus the bar shuts at 5pm on a Friday night.

The University is an exceptional place to study, offering the most iconic campuses with the old royal naval college with its stunning riverside setting, state-of-the-art facilities such as the Stockwell library.
However, improvements could include extended library hours, better noise management in study zones, faster wi-fi, and more better study spaces. Affordable food options, enhanced mental health support, expanded sustainability initiatives, and increased opportunities for community engagement and feedback would further help to appeal convincingly. read full review

I have been enjoying my study in the University because of the support I have received from the staff and the school in general .This is based on the fact that I come from a different academic background where we didn't have the facilities that I have found here. During my application back home, the school was very helpful in the whole process, even on the application of my visa. I would have had a tough time doing it on my own.The lecturers also make sure we understand the questions before we do the coursework. And also the beautiful historic buildings .The worst experience was when before I moved to the UK the school made a mistake and moved my intake from September 2024 to January 2025 .I think it was a glitch in the system ,they did rectify it on time ,but that was the worst thing I could think of as it was stressful .I had already paid for my deposit and applied for my visa. read full review
The best aspect about my University is the Admin and how swift they respond to emails and concerns, as for now I have not yet encountered my worst aspects. read full review
Studying at the University of Greenwich has been an incredibly enriching experience, both academically and personally. The standout aspect for me is the breathtaking campus. The Greenwich campus, located along the Thames and surrounded by historic architecture, offers an inspiring setting for learning. It’s not just about aesthetics; the modern facilities housed within these historic buildings provide everything a student could need, from well-equipped libraries to cutting-edge computer labs.

The diversity at Greenwich is another highlight. With students from all over the world, I’ve had the chance to interact with people from various cultures, which has broadened my understanding and made group work and discussions more dynamic. This diversity extends to the extracurricular activities, with societies and events that cater to a wide range of interests and cultures.

The support provided by faculty has also been commendable. Professors are approachable and genuinely invested in students' success, offering guidance beyond just academics. The additional resources, such as the Academic Skills Team and workshops, have been invaluable for improving my assignments and developing key skills.

Career-focused events are another strength. The university frequently organizes career fairs, networking opportunities, and guest lectures from industry experts. These events provide insights into real-world applications of our studies and help us build connections for the future.

The Worst
While my time at Greenwich has been mostly positive, some challenges stand out. One significant issue is the demand on student services. During peak times, such as the start of the term or exam periods, it can be difficult to get timely responses to queries. Streamlining these processes and increasing staff availability could improve the overall experience.

Living costs are another concern, particularly in London. Despite the university’s efforts to provide guidance, managing high rents and other expenses while studying full-time can be overwhelming. Introducing more affordable on-campus housing or increasing financial support for students could help alleviate this stress.

The coordination of deadlines between different courses could also be better. There have been times when multiple major deadlines overlapped, creating unnecessary pressure. A system that ensures a more even distribution of assignments would be a welcome improvement.

Lastly, while the career services are helpful, they could be more tailored. For example, having more industry-specific workshops or mentorship programs with alumni from specific fields would make the career preparation process even more effective.

Sugggestions for Improvement
- Streamline student support services to ensure quicker response times, especially during busy periods.
- Expand affordable housing options for students and increase financial aid initiatives.
- Improve the scheduling of assignment deadlines to reduce overlap between courses.
- Offer more tailored career services, including industry-specific workshops and mentorship opportunities.
- Enhance mental health resources, such as free counseling sessions and group therapy workshops, to support students' well-being.

Why the University of Greenwich is a Great Place to Study-
Despite the challenges, the University of Greenwich is an exceptional place to study. Its stunning campus, rich history, and vibrant student life create an environment that inspires learning and growth. The university’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity ensures that every student feels welcome and valued.

Whether it’s the quality of teaching, the extensive resources, or the vibrant community, Greenwich has provided me with the tools opportunities to thrive. With a few adjustments, it has the potential to become even better, further solidifying its reputation as a top choice for students worldwide. read full review
