Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Suffolk

University of Suffolk is a great place to study. The environment is calm and well protected with it’s technical security system. The lectures are easy to assimilate because we take one course from the module per month, so you’re not under study pressure. The student support from non academic to academic staff is top notch.

The only thing I feel could be improved on is the sitting arrangement of the lecture rooms; a theatre form would be a lot better. read full review
Due to it's small size and the fact that it is a new University the SU could have more societies and social events.
Also, there is not a wide variety of food/café options across campus. Especially not affordable ones.

The small size of the uni is also a plus in that you feel like a person and not a number. The small campus feels very tightknit and connected to the town in which it is based.
The uni is also growing meaning that new buildings are in development. One of these, The Hold, is a very good space with lecture theatre, seminar rooms and is a joint venture with the local council meaning that there is a good link between the uni and the outer non-uni world. You do not feel isolated and it is clear to see the positive impact the university is having on its town. read full review
The MA in Creative and Critical Writing has the best lecturers who are genuinely invested in both the wellbeing of their students as well as their work. The modules are intellectually stimulating whilst remaining fun. I would strongly recommend attending lectures in person even if there is an option to participate online.
The biggest problem for me was that the library does not have access to some academic journals I would have liked, but other than that my experience was 10/10. read full review
The best bit was working with the English department. The smaller campus and class sizes mean you get individual support and the chance to get to know your fellow students. read full review
The location, personally for me, was great as I live within walking distance and had studied for my BA (Hons) in English there. The Student Life team has also been great during my time as a student, from when they were known as "Infozone" when I started my BA to the end of my Masters, answering any queries I had fairly promptly or signposting me to the right team, and I am happy to say that I am now a member of the team myself and hope I can do as good a job as they did when I was on the side of the desk.
I would say that there is not a lot of improvement needed, exept perhaps to add phyiscal signposting for some of the buildings on campus to make them easier for those visiting who are unfamiliar with the area, to find - i.e. the Atrium and James Heir. read full review

The University of Suffolk is such a great place to study, great facilities, and the staff are always willing to help however they can. I have completed my undergraduate degree at this university and am currently studying towards my Postgraduate Masters Qualification here as well. I have always felt supported here particularly throughout the pandemic, and both the students and all staff are lovely! read full review

Staff and facilities are excellent and extremely supportive. You get to know your tutors on a much more personal level than at a larger institution.

Studying MSc Data Science at the University of Suffolk is exciting as it is challenging. The Digitech Center where the modules for data science are delivered is a state of the art digital lab and equipped with the fastest computers and best spots to relax. The course is fast-paced.

The support from academic and non-academic team has been immense. The weekly activities are impactful for producing well-rounded graduates. The library services is great for the studies and the ambience is perfect. Unfortunately, it’s not open 24 hours.

For everything this university offers, the tuition is such a bargain. It is understandable that being a new institution, many policies are still in their test phases and there is constant collaboration with the student union to improve on these policies for the benefit of students.

It's a very modern and comfortable place to study, the lecturer's are all very friendly and helpful, the course material is of a good standard. More easily accessed free parking would be a benefit as the car park nearest the campus is always full! read full review
